IN THIS LESSON
The Student Government Association (SGA) at Luther Rice serves as a voice for the student body. Through collaboration with faculty and administration, the SGA advocates for student needs and fosters a sense of community in the online learning environment.
-
The SGA aims to:
Represent students and promote the best interests of the institution.
Foster spiritual growth, community, and fellowship among all students.
Engage with the surrounding community and encourage students to honor Christ in all activities.
-
The SGA leadership consists of three key positions:
President: Leads meetings, represents students on institutional committees, and oversees SGA initiatives.
Vice President: Assumes the President’s duties in their absence, ensures smooth operation of committees, and acts as parliamentarian.
Secretary: Maintains records, takes meeting minutes, and ensures clear communication of SGA activities.
-
To serve as an officer, students must have attended Luther Rice for at least one semester and meet specific academic requirements. All students are encouraged to get involved by either running for office or engaging in SGA-sponsored activities, enhancing the online learning community and building lasting relationships.
