CUTTING IT STRAIGHT – Expository Preaching Conference 2025
This annual conference is dedicated to training, modeling, and promoting expository preaching through:
Plenary lectures on the meaning and importance of exposition
Breakout sessions with practical tools for Bible preaching
Worship services led by faithful expositors who know how to cut it straight
Fall 2025 Special for Luther Rice Students
Take one of two powerful courses in conjunction with the conference:
PM 4402 – Principles of Biblical Exposition (Undergrad)
BE 7405 – Delivering an Expository Message (Graduate)

DEFEND Conference (For-Credit Opportunity)
The DEFEND Apologetics Conference, held January 4–9, 2026, on the campus of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, is a premier gathering of leading apologists and theologians from around the world. Through dynamic plenary sessions, in-depth breakouts, and unique opportunities for interaction, students will engage with today’s most pressing apologetics issues while earning academic credit. This immersive experience is designed to strengthen your faith, sharpen your defense of the gospel, and connect you with a community of like-minded believers passionate about truth.
FOR-CREDIT OPPORTUNITY for current students: Luther Rice students have the unique opportunity to earn academic credit by enrolling in AP5901, AP6908, or—pending approval—AP3904 as part of the Spring 2026 Module. These courses align directly with the DEFEND Conference content, allowing students to integrate their learning with real-time engagement from the field’s most respected voices. Students will be responsible for course tuition, travel, housing, and meals, while Luther Rice will cover the DEFEND Conference registration fee for those attending for credit. This is a rare chance to deepen your studies, fulfill program requirements, and experience apologetics at the highest level—all in one impactful week.
